My father has a Futaba FG series 7 channel Transmitter that will not work with any of his receivers. He tried a 127 rx with new dual conversion crystals in the tx and rx but nothing is happening. What kind of RX does he need to be using. The radio has been narrow banded with the gold sticker. Any help is appreciated.

Hi grind2tenths,
Please check to see if your transmitter module is AM or FM. If it's FM, then the R127DF should work. If it doesn't, then the transmitter or receiver has a problem.
If it's AM, the the R127DF won't work because it's an FM receiver. Currentlyl, the only AM receiver for airplanes is the 4-channel R112H receiver. That should work nicely if the transmitter's operating correctly.
Was the transmitter's frequency changed? If he strayed from the original channel that the module was on, he will need to put the module back to the original channel with the original crystal.
Unfortunately, we no longer carry parts for, nor do we perform any service on any of the FG series radios.
I hope you find this information helpful. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at 217-398-8970 for Support, 217-398-0007 for Service or via fax at 217-398-7721 or by email at [email protected].
