Issue 1:
The 9C manual (V1.0 and V1.2), page 51, explains how SW1 and SW2 control snap directions. It says:
If assigned, SW1 = up/down, SW2 = left/right.
After I assign SW1 and SW2 to two switches, it's clear that...
SW1 = left/right and SW2 = up/down.
So, the manual and transmitter don't agree.
Futaba folks... what do you say?
Issue 2:
The snap roll safety switch is a mystery. The manual says that whatever switch is assigned to Channel 5 acts as a safety switch for snap rolls. Here's what I find:
-- Switch assigned to Channel 5 has no effect on snap roll, i.e., in either position, snap rolls are not inhibited.
-- SAFE-MOD always shows an asterisk. It does not change when the dial is rotated.
Can someone explain how set up this feature? The manual isn't clear.
Thanks.

What I hate is that channel 5 is fixed for the safety switch. I use it for choke. I guess I cold change it but it would be nice if you could assign any switch for the safety and not a channel.

Hi buckhorn,
You are correct the manual is wrong on the switch assignment, and we will make note of this in the new version. And I will make note of this on our webpage.
After hearing back from our staff, this is their answer to your questions:
You can reassign the channel 5 switch but the programming will follow, to get away from this you will have to go to FREE, at this point the Safe switch is no longer functional.
As far as your asterisk you will see this if you have gone to a switch that is 3 position. So you will want to NOT use C or G, as you will only have Snap Roll in three directions, not the four that would be required. The only one that you can assign the 3-position switch to would be switch 1.
I hope you find this information helpful. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at 217-398-8970 for Support, 217-398-0007 for Service or via fax at 217-398-7721 or by email at [email protected].
