Trainer switch delay

Today was my first time using a trainer cord and an older Futaba FM system as a slave with the new 6EX2.4G as the master. When I transfer from master to slave, there is a definate delay between the time I throw the switch turning control over to the slave until the slave unit responds to the stick commands. Fortunately, going the other way, when taking control back from the student (slave unit) the 6EX takes control immediately. Is this a normal occurance or is there a problem somewhere? Thanks.

Hi Rodney,
Yes, there is an approximate 1 second delay on this and it is normal for this radio.
