What to use for servo grease?
Hi geoharry,
White lithium is the lube of choice for servo gears. It is available at most fishing tackle stores under the common name of "Reel Lube."
I hope you find this information helpful. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at 217-398-8970 for Support, 217-398-0007 for Service or via fax at 217-398-7721 or by email at [email protected].

What to use for servo grease?
I checked out the Fishing Reel Lube but it was $7 for a tube at Dicks Sporting Goods.
$5.50 for the gears and $7 for the lube and I could almost buy a new 148.
Radio Shack has "heat sink grease" for $2. I think this is the same stuff you are talking about rajul. It's listed as a silcone product.
Thanks

FYI
I was at Lowe's the other day and passed a display of various greases. There on the shelf was a large (maybe 16oz) tube of white lithium grease! Cost less than $3 and will last several lifetimes. Forget the Reel Lube at $7 for a tiny tube!
Thanks for all the input.

RE: What to use for servo grease?
It is a delight to know knowledge from one hobby becomes applicable in another hobby.
Reel Lube has wide range of choice and quality with corresponding price. (Thanks, Krysta)
Hardware white grease does the job at budget and need to check its content specification.
