Hi, Please can you advise me, im looking at buying a heli that uses 4 S9550 Servos mounted on the frame and controling the swashplate, i see these servos are listed as ep car units !!! Are they up to the task on a petrol powered large heli ???
Also i see on Towers webpages that the 9550 is discontinued and replaced by the S9551, What are the specs of this new servo and how will it go in this application ???
cheers Jay.

Hi Jay,
The S9550 may not have the speed and precision required of most heli servos. This is why it is listed for cars and airplanes.
This servo is being replaced with the S9551 will have the same speed as the S9550, but will have more torque: 92 oz/in @ 4.8V and 136 oz/in @ 6V.
