I just recently purchased this radio and I have a few questions. Is the DSC cable the same as the one for the 12MZ and 14Mz? Tower has that one but doesn't list the 12FG as compatible. Second, I have an issue with the right hand slider. It barely has any racheting feel compared to the left hand slider. It does have the center stop though. Since there is no adjustment for the slider from the outside, can the radio be opened without much trouble and be adjusted? I've opened my 9C a few times but never looked at the mechanism for the sliders. I don't want to send the radio back for this minor issue. Thanks.

Hi Marty, the same DSC cord used for the 12Z and 14MZ, also works for the 12FG.

The slider on the side is not adjustable on the inside either, we could try changing out the slider for you if you would like to send it back sometime in the future after your flying season is over.
