V-tail programming problem

I have a Lanier Predator that uses a V-tail configuration. I am using my Futaba 8U tx. I setup the mix using radio defaults. It works fine this way but it was suggested that my flying could be improved by reducing the amount of down elevator. I went in to the ele-atv settings and reduced the down travel to 50%. The problem is, only the servo plugged in to the elevator channel is affected the other servo controlling the other elevator still has full down travel. I couldn't find any "link" functions that would tie the two together. I guess I could program the reduced throw via dual rates but I would have thought the ele-atv would affect both since they are essentially linked. Am I missing something or is this just a function of how it has to work through the programming. I am going to set up the reduced down via D/R for now but I would like to know if there is another way.

ATV affects each SERVO only. It is meant to be this way so you can adjust them to match. Your high dual rate will adjust both servos down travel without requiring a switch or anything.
