12FGA unaffected by FASST advisory??
Hi Bax/Krysta,
Just wanted official confirmation that 12FGA 2.4 ghz system is unaffected by the GUID related advisory issued by Futaba i.e 12FGA FASST units shipping today (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXRUB8&P=SM) are cool as far as this advisory is concerned. i.e. ZGUID will never ever rear its head ever on these units. I just wanna be at peace with myself that my $1199.99 is going down the right drain :-)
Cheers.....

RE: 12FGA unaffected by FASST advisory??
Thanks Bax. U meant the 12FGA dedicated 2.4 ghz system right?
So the reason that the higher end sets have been left out of the advisory is because their inherent design makes them immune to the ZGUID problem???
And is the 12FGA is a dedicated FASST tx, with the 2.4 ghz antenna coming out of the top from where the regular antenna used to be?

There is no "dedicated" 2.4 GHz 12FG transmitter. It uses a module, just as the 12Z and 14 MZ do. You will get the full G3 speeds and resolution when you install the Futaba FASST module.
They are not included in the advisory because they are not affected by the difficulties.
The antenna comes off of the top of the module.
