Default TM-7 Question

I read in another thread which was closed that a "hardware" update had been made to the TM-7. I bought mine last August and have used it with 5 different receivers without any problems but I sent to the Futaba Servicenter to be checked and it was returned with the message that it had a unique ID and was ok. There was no mention of a hardware update.

Does the Servicenter update the TM-7 if one is not requested or do they just check to see that it is uniquely coded?

Only TM-7 modules with bad coding will need to have the update. They are immune to coding problems if they have the correct coding.

Hi Bax I just gotten my TM-7 module back for hobbies services . The accompanied work order stated that my new never used TM-7 module was replaced with a new one . That must mean it was one with the problem I take it .
I now just need to relink the Rx to the new module and all should be good to go am I right ? Thanks

Install the module, re-link, and you're good to go!

Thanks for the fast reply . I noticed tonight that there is not a sticker of any kind on the module. I read in earlier posts that they put a service stickers on the modules . Was just wondering why mine didnt . thanks

Yours may have been done before the stickers came out. Just keep your invoice handy if anyone needs to know. It says it all.

Well I just gotten it back on the 3/5/08 they had it since the 2/22/08 . I will keep the invoice just incase . Just seemed odd to me . And that it wasnt just checked but replaced . Also seemed strange to me since I just bought the module in January. I havent even used it when I got the email from a friend telling me about the coding issue. I hope I wont regret making the switch to the FASST system . thanks
