I've got a T7CAP that I bought new about 2 1/2 years ago. I haven't flown in about a year and was rechecking all of my equipment when I remembered there was some kind of a programming glitch with the T7CAP system. Something to do with setting aileron endpoints I believe. I think there was a recall on the radio to have it fixed but I know there was also a work-around when programming that would avoid the glitch but can't remember what it was. If you can remind me what the workaround was I'd appreciate it as I would like to double check the programming before flying the plane again.
Thank You

I have the 7CHP and have never had any problems with any programming or anything else. The only bug I've heard of is the Timer function screwing up but I use and egg timer. I bet your fine, it's a superb radio!

I know it's something to do with programming an aileron end point. I remember a thread from Futaba, and I thought it was on this forum about 2 years ago but a search returned nothing, that notified everyone that they were finally going to acknowledge the issue and said you could send in your radio to be repaired or just use the workaround when programming the (right?) aileron end-point. I tried the workaround and it worked so I didn't send in my radio. I'm pretty sure I can remember it if I go through the programming again. The only problem there is I can't find my darn wall charger for the radio and it's down to 8.3volts and going down fast. I guess I'll have to contact Futaba directly and order a new wall charger since I can't find one at Tower and I don't want to drop $110.00 on a high end charger yet. Until then I'll get back to work on the little .25 Ugly Stik.
That's cool your friend has the same name I do. I go by Danny as well. When I was a kid I had a cousin who had married into the family with my name. That really made X-mas interesting for a few years. lol. My Aunt divorced his dad though so I haven't seen him in probably 25 years.
Thanks for the input.

Ha! My friend married a Julie Ann and his brother Dave married a Julie Ann, no kidding. It made it very interesting for them as well until his brother divorced his wife! I have a Hangar 9 Sure Cycle that works great, you have to do the diode bypass to discharge the Tx pack but it will work charging without having to remove it from the transmitter. I've recently seen some bad posts about Hobbico chargers as well.

The bug was that the aileron ATV on one side went to zero if you used the Throttle Stick activated timer. The ATV would go to zero when you pressed the two menu buttons to set the timer activation point.
