Hi Krysta Just one more question, Does the Transmitter and reciever crystals have to be a matched set or can use my Futaba computer transmitter on the 6YG flight pack without using the crystal from the 6YG - there both transmitters have the same frequency crystal 60 - 72.990mhz
It does work fine testing it on the bench.

The crystals don't have to be matched. The transmitter must be tuned with the crystal it's using, and the receiver needs to be in the appropriate band ('HI' or 'LO').
