I got the r156f from my lhs. Ordered a short crystal ch.14 for it (FUTL62) My radio is t6exap. When I plug the batt in, the servos jump and when I cycle the tx power they will jump. That’s all it does. It dosnt work at all. Plugged my other receivers up and they work fine. I don’t know if my tx is dual concver. does that matter? All tower said was to use a short crystal so that’s what I ordered.

If your transmitter is in PCM mode this will happen, if your transmitter is in PPM mode, then what is probably happening is that you have purchased a crystal for this receiver that is below channel 16.

Your local hobby store should have let you know that this receiver either experiences a lot of interference or simply will not work on channels 16 and below.

When you click the stock number for this particular receiver ( at the side by the specs) FUTL0641, it will bring you to the information for this item. You will see in the second line "It is NOT suggested to go below channel 16 with these receivers as you may experience interference."

These micro receivers that use the short crystals, are the only ones that you will have to take this information into consideration when purchasing.

As far as Dual Conversion is concerned, the transmitter does not care, this is only a feature of receivers.

Great a 50$ rx worthless for me. My lhs did not have a clue actualy the first crysl i got from them wasnt even a short. They will not take it back as it was a long time befor i opened the rx to use it in a model. I read a post on here of the same prop a guy had on ch13 with this rx and he said he got all his equip (tx and rx) upgraded to a higher chan for free. Was that a doing of futaba or am i at a loss and have to find a rx that will work with my chan. I cant see buying all new crystals for my tx and 4 rx just for one rx that wont accept my chan. Thank you for your help
