Hi,
I have purchased a T6EXH and R149DP separately. The latter is a new Hi-Lo band receiver was delivered with a receiver crystal channel 31.
The rx however did not come with a channel 31 transmitter xtal.
Could I ask:
1) Are the 2 components compatible?
2) What additional must I have to make the 2 work?
Thanks much and Regards, Ron

You have to find a crystal that is compatible with the receiver, and it must match the channel in the radio. It is illegal for you to change the radio channel, though it can be done by an authorized service center. The receiver will work with any channel that is approved for air use. Again, make sure the crystal is compatible with the receiver; it doesn't matter if it is not the same brand as the radio, and it needs to be on the same channel as the radio.

I see. I'm operating the RC in Singapore where the regulation is not as strict as in US.
The freq of my TX can be changed by switching the transmitter crystal.
In that case, I'll look for a dual conversion crystal set for the transmitter so that it can operate the receiver.
Thanks much and Regards, Ron

If you set your transmitter to PCM mode, it will work. If your transmitter is not on the correct channel, then just obtain a Futaba FM transmitter crystal on the desired channel. There is no such thing as a "dual-conversion" transmitter crystal. "Dual conversion" applies to receivers, only. PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT legal for systems being used in the U.S. Other countries will have different regulations, you MUST check with your country's radio ministry/administration for the proper regulations.
You could also put in a Dual-conversion FM receiver crystal into the receiver that's on the transmitter's channel. Please note that you must make sure it's a Dual-conversion FM crystal for the receiver.
