Default 9C with XPS module

Bax,
I have been flying Futaba for many years, in fact I've never used anything else! I've had a 9C for several years now and about a year ago I decided to try a 2.4 system without starting over and ended up purchasing an XPS module and receiver to experiment with. Over the last 12 months I've been switching back and forth between a standard Futaba FM module and the XPS module on a regular basis. Within the last couple of months I've noticed a developing lockout problem when using just the XPS system. I'm now getting intermittant lockouts nearly every time I use the XPS module but still have'nt noticed anything wrong when the FM module is being used. I had the XPS module replaced with a new one and am still seeing major lockouts. Last weekend I borrowed a friends 9C, swapped Campacs and installed the XPS module. My plane flew perfectly...no lockouts. I visually checked the pins in my transmitter and couldn't find any bad solder joints. Can I get my transmitter looked at? I understand Futaba frowns on aftermarket modules but it's what I've got. Can you tell me if you've heard of similar problems and suggest a course of action...if I can't fly...I'll die!!
Thanks so much for any suggestions!

Doug

Default RE: 9C with XPS module

We have zero information on XPS modules. We've never used them and have no idea what the difficulty you experience may be. You may need to contact XPS to determine what the difficulty may be. If the rest of the transmitter has a difficulty, we can certainly help you with that, but we have no resources to help with non-Futaba equipment.

One thing you may want to check is the integrity of the module pins in the transmitter. If they have been worked in and out a lot, they may have issues on the circuit board.
