There is no 6116 Futaba receiver. The range of the R6004FF receiver will be about 600-1000 feet. It's an indoor/park flyer receiver with one external antenna. Due out in about two weeks or so, according to our best information.

the biggest question is, does it use the standard servo plugins? the micro conections are pretty much too hard to deal with

The Futaba R6004FF receiver uses the regular Futaba connectors.

I just received a 6004FF receiver. According to the instructions the range is 300ft. This is good for indoor flying but might be marginal for a park flyer.

Just 300ft? very little! then it is better that the 616 has a range of 1000ft, or 617 that weighs almost the same but it's full range.

Bax/Krista:

You said the range is about 600-1000 feet, the instructions says 300 feet, some guys had tested this rx to about 800 feet.

The question is, will this receiver be ok for 800 feet?

Thanks,
Doug.

I just recieved an R6004FF that I ordered through my LHS after determining, through the web and tech info, that it has standard connections. When I opened the box I was shocked to discover that it has the micro connections on it. I had ordered it based on it having standard connections and now will be returning it since i don't have any servos witht he micro connections. Hopefully they'll take it back since it was a special order...

When I posted the 600-1000 foot range, that was the information we'd been given pre-release. Apparently, Futaba is being conservative in their range statement. Beyond their numbers, we can't say what is good.

Ok thanks, I'm flying it more then 700 feet with no issues, I can go past that but then I can't see the model.

Doug.
