Hi Bax, Krysta et al,
this is a request for new product.
The current range of FASST receivers are not very glider friendly. I use the 6008 in my 3m+ competition gliders and it fits well and works perfectly.
For my smaller gliders and electrics there really isn't a good option.
A $250 receiver in a $100 plane isn't a good look (I'm in Australia) and I don't need 8 channels or 2048 resolution. Park Flyer receivers are useless - I need way more range than they are specified to provide. The 617 would be OK if it had end pins, side pins just don't work in slim glider fuses so please take that on board as a request.
What would also be great is a full range 5/6 channel receiver with end pins (NOT mini pins) and the smallest case possible. Sort of like a grown up 6004.
At the moment I am seriously considering putting another manufacturer's 2.4 module into my 12FG so I can use their receivers which are the right size, shape, range and price. I think you can guess which products. I don't want to do this, I Love FASST, but you simply don't have receivers to fit 3 of my gliders/electrics.
Go Great!
Ken.

We are the North American service and support center for Futaba. We are not a part of Futaba Corporation. We can only pass on productt requests to the product people at Futaba, which we always do. If the type of product requested fits in their product mix and marketing plans, then they may put it into the development queue. They don't tell us what's being worked on until they actually announce it.
This request has been made before, but we'll pass it on again.
