Will the 8FG be available as TX only, rather than packaged with the 8 channel RX? How about with the 617 RX? Just wondering, I don't personally have any need for 8 channels and the receiver is overkill for what I would like to use the radio for

I am sorry, but Futaba does not "split" their systems out this way. They are sold as transmitter/receiver combos, either with or without servos and receiver battery.
