Default 9001 servo problem

I went to the flying field to fly my T.F.310, was doing my preflight check to make sure everything was hooked up right. When I let go of the aileron stick from full deflection, instead of the servo stopping quickly it would go back and forth a few times then stop. There are two servos on a Y harness but only the one would do this. So I went home thinking the servo pot was probably bad. But now it wont do it again. Ive never noticed anything like this before. Any thoughts?

Usually, the difficulty you mention is the result of a bad or dirty connector, or possibly a bad solder joint where the lead is attached to the circuit board in the receiver.
