7CAP to T4VF trainer setup
I just bought a Futaba trainer cord, micro to round plug, to connect my 7CAP to a 4 channel T4VF. I have disconnect the battery and removed the TX crystal from the T4VF to use it as the student radio. No matter which trainer option on each channel of the 7CAP, 'F', 'N' or '-', there is no transfer of control with the trainer switch held up.
Is this TV4F compatible? Any idea what is wrong? Adam |

RE: 7CAP to T4VF trainer setup
Krysta,
thanks, I read the thread, does this mean I can send in one of my Skysport T4VF transmitters to have some modification made to work as a trainer box compatible with the 7CAP? If so, please can you send me details. Also, is this a modification that could be done at home? Adam |
RE: 7CAP to T4VF trainer setup
It's not a mod that can be done at home, since some components have to be added and then checked. Just send the transmitter to us per the 'how to return for service' stick at the top of the forum.

RE: 7CAP to T4VF trainer setup
Hi Folks,
Newbie here with daft question! I have at last dug myT4VF out of the box to charge it up and start to instal the servos. I note that channels 1,2, and 3 were already plugged into the S3003 servos. No problem. The fourth servo was in the box but not plugged in. It has the number FP-S148 indirect drive, written on it. Whereas the S3003 servos have their round mounting holes completely surrounded, the FP has a 'cut out' so the hole is not completely surrounded (the best way I can describe it!). What is the difference of this servo, and what is it used for? I am about the mount them and I want to make sure I'm using the correct servo for the correct function. Thanks and regards Dave |
RE: 7CAP to T4VF trainer setup
The Futaba S-148 servo is just about their most popular general-purpose economy servo. You can use it for anything that will work with a 41-ounce output servo.
