WA-167A was the G-23 carb in the late 90's early 21St century before the G-26 came out

I have a WT-499 on a Wolf Predator 30 and I run it on gas. There is no problem with the needles.

You may actually have a problem with the needle and seat in your regulator (metering system)

I ran a Wt-499 on a hot Homelite 30cc the other day, and while I could get it adjusted to run well, the high speed needle was very sensitive. That carb is meant for alcohol use.

If you have been running glow fuel in your G-23 in the past, it may have rust inside? Make sure the crank turns smoothly.

hate to say it but i found the problem.......i hung too big of a prop on this motor and it would run close to midrange and just load up and spit fuel out of the carb, i had a classic series prop on it before and must have grabe the wrong one, 20-8, i went through the carb twice, pulled the fuel tank, removed exhaust, checked plugs aurghhhh, thanks for trying to help guys, my mistake.
