Well the next DLE engine will be a 20cc engine and I will buy it from Jody a Valley View.  I will not need it until about March...but by then Jody will have all the details figured out as what prop to run and possibly what after market exhaust...ect will work best with the DLE20.  If you need help or have a question....he will be there.  Capt,n

I hemmed and hawed about whther or not to buy at the cheapest price.I know very little about these engines so I rely on the guy that sold it to me to fix the engine with a guarateed warranty.money is always tight but having seen the earned reputation jody has with valleyview I did the right thing and bought my dle30 from him and I feel confident about it and thus far has been very accessible and responvie to my needs. Now I gather that tower hobbies is servicing what they sell butI am very happy I chose valleyview rc.especially knowing that the earlier versions had issues ..perhaps if I was smart and knew how to fix things maybe I'd chance it but I dont mind paying a little more and getting support and good service.
as for vh I bought some lipos and thus far they are proving to be fine.

Cyclone Toy and Hobby are listed as DLE distributers in China on DLE's web site. SDSHobbby and Cyclone are either in bed together or they're the same... The planes and everything else they offer appear to be indentical - and appear to match the ARF's sold by Peak Models as well. Anyone can register as a buyer at SDS. Just fill out the form. When I go to their website everything comes up priced?

I have placed a couple orders with value hobby, but never for an engine. Service has always been top notch, shipping has always been fast and their products always show up in beautiful shape. I've never ordered an engine from them, but I do own two dle's. Never had a problem with them. I also have several friends that own dle's and none of them have had problems with their engines either. All I'm saying is yes, it's nice to have good service....but if you buy a quality product is it really necessary? Can you turn a couple wrenches and fix your it yourself should you encounter a problem? Are you prone to burning up motors? I don't have a problem diagnosing my own engine troubles, if I do the entire Internet is in my pocket (iPhone) I wouldn't send a motor in anyway, never have and most likely never will. If your confident in your abilities then I vote "go cheap"! (but on a quality product)

It's only a two stroke engine anyway! Christ, it's only got like three moving parts in it

I just received a sv 50cc from vh, 2 weeks ago. I now have 5 flights on this engine, all good so far. Run good, runs as strong if not stronger than My DL 50. Seems like a good engine so far. Hopefully I want have to test there warranty work and support.

I have purchased several servos from vh without a issue. The time I had a issue it was resolved quickly. That was until I purchased a sv 50 cc twin from them !!!! The cdi had weak spark on one output, so I sent it back....approx. 6 weeks later after many pissy e-mails they sent me a cdi for a single...today exactly 2months later I received a cdi for twin with the same g.d issue...to be honest i think it's the cdi i sent in two months ago. Lesson learned. I also see now they are no longer selling gas engines and half or better of their servo stock is out!!!

I have a sv 50 gas from value hobby.... I emailed them with a problem in that the new engine will not run correctly and it appears to be a carburetor problem.... THEIR answer.... then get a new carburetor... nothing else.... Is this company that difficult to work with that they do not care if you do have a problem with a new engine from them?

I talked with the man at value hobby about my SV 50 and he tells me that they do not carry or sell the SV 50 Gas.... He also said that he does not carry parts for that engine ( maybe no parts for any engine?) He said that they do not repair any engines regardless of what their web side states... They will swap a new engine to you for the one you are having problems if you can prove you purchase the engine in the past 12 months...AND if he has that engine in stock...etc.?????? Does any one out their know where I can buy parts for my SV 50? thanks....

If it is a carb problem find a Walbro carb that is similar and use it. Or get the carb that fits a dle 50 or 55.

The DLE carb does not match with the sv 50 reed valve assembly. I do not know if the dle reed valve assy would fit.

The only thing that could be different would be the location of the pulse hole, either a drilling in the carb body or a separate pressure line. Either way, it is easily corrected.

This SV 50 has a separate line. Are you saying that I could drill new holes to fit and block the old hole as necessary?

I am going to look at the carb and reed valve assy in the morning to see if I can do what you suggested. Thanks to all.

The DLE 50 uses a separate pulse line. You could add a fitting to your reed block and use the external line setup.

If necessary, the fitting on the carb could be blocked off and the carb body could be drilled to line up with your reed block if that were necessary. I have converted carbs from pulse hole to pulse line and also from pulse line back to pulse hole.

Trucksracer. I did the fix and it improved but still not right. I am going to look for another carb and a manual for this engine .. Thanks.
