Default Engine repair

I had the misfortune of seeing my Hangar 9 Corsair powered by a Zenoah G20 come apart in the air at our annual Warbird show this last Saturday. The airplane was completely destroyed and the engine was also damaged. I would like to send the engine to Ralph Cunningham for repair but I am having trouble locating him. I think Ralph is one of the best in the business. Can anyone tell me if he is still around and how to contact him?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Best wishes and good safe flying.

Sorry to hear that, but I hear this all the time with Hangar9 Arfs. Let me guess, the firewall departed the plane.

Nope, it wasn't the firewall. I reinforced the firewall. The left wing broke completely off the airplane a fluttered down to the ground long after the rest of the airplane was buried deep in the ground. I was making a normal full power right hand turn at the time. I have had the airplane for two or three years but usually only fly it at warbird meets so it did not have all that many flights on it. Performance was very good with the G-20 engine. I had a B&B header, after market ignition using an MS 15x7 three blade prop. Also, I have been able to get in touch with Ralph. I am glad to see that he is still working on engines for us guys. He is one heck of a talented and good guy.

Best wishes and good safe flying.

Roger
