Default CDI ignition

I have a CDI ignition from FTL which came with no instructions on how to connect everything up. Along with the plug wire there are 3 wires that come out. I know that the one goes to the battery and the other to the hall sensor, but the third I don't know where that goes. It has a tag on it that says Tachometer. I also have a engine kill switch that needs to be connected to the ignition to kill the engine when I need to, and it says to connect it to the ignition, but where? Does anyone have instructions? Thanks, Rick

The third wire is for a digital tack, just tap it out of the way and hook up your battery to the other connecter.

that would be a newer RC EXL, ignore the tach lead unless you want to use one of their mini tach's

the kill switch would go in the power lead

BEWARE! I just found out that you should not connect your engine kill switch to the power lead on the ignition, but it should be connected to the hall sensor lead from the ignition. I tried connecting to the power lead and all the wiring got red hot in a few seconds, fortunately I unhooked the battery in time before it all melted down. []

You hook the kill switch into the power wire to the battery!

Just use a radio switch set up

It is just a power off on switch. If you use a HD radio switch, it is a plug in affair.
