The Question is,,,

Should I wrap the bottom side of the ignition box with foam and secure it to the airframe with tie straps?

or


use the 4 supplied rubber grommets and screw it down to the airframe?

I always put foam on the back then I strap it in with velcro

I wrap mine in 7mm wetsuit and then zip tie them to the frame(see photo), never had a problem in 12 years.

Box mounting tabs always break eventually.

Two layers of doublesided tape and then a loose zip around both axis..

double sided tape between unit and plane and preferably velcro straps over it. I have been known to use zip ties too where it has been easier - never had a problem either way, but velcro is better as it transfers less vibration than zip ties.
