Default Throttle Kill problem

Guys,
When I put my DA50 on the test stand, and had the spring action throttle lever jerry rigged, I could kill the engine every time, by simply closing the throttle completely.
It seems now that the engine is on my plane, the throttle kill funtcion on my 9C radio doesn't want to kill the engine.
I have everything set up correctly, and I can VISUALLY see the servo pushing the throttle pushrod all the way to the closed position, but the engine takes forever to die. It will idle down to under 1500 rpms, and then it MIGHT finally die. Sometimes it just keeps idling though. Is this just the way some gas engines are? Do they sometimes get hot, and not want to die, even if the throttle is completely closed?
P.S. I have never made any adjustment to the stop screw that stops the throttle lever. It is in the same position it always has been in.

Hey Paul
Go ahead and remove the stop screw( It's not needed) and set your end points up for your throttle servo for wide open and fully closed. If at fully closed, and It does not kill the engine, there maybe a leak around the carb.

Default Throttle Kill problem

Make sure that the throttle is really closed. I had an issue where the engine box was interferring with the opposite end of the butterfly shaft under the carb. I had to remove a lttle engine box material to free it up.

The throttle kill function closes the engine more when on. Make sure that your endpoints can handle the extra movement.
