RPM drop in bank turn?
I’m running a DLE 30 and for some reason when I'm flying strait and level with no change in throttle input, when the plane makes a bank turn the rpm drops. Its more than just a little if I had to guess I’d say 700 rpm or so. It doesn’t sound like its leaning out, sounds more like richening if anything.

If this DLE-30 has a sided-mounted carb (instead of the current version rear-mounted carb) most likely you are hearing the effects of centrifugal force causing fuel to move in the opposite direction of the turn.

RE: RPM drop in bank turn?
Lean out the high needle very slightly. It probably is the fuel regulating membrane and fuel weight pushing on the lever. A negative-G bank turn probably does the opposite and leans out the engine slightly. In a well tuned engine, both the slight richening or slight leaning out should have not much influence on engine running.

Remember that you make a turn increasing AOA with elevator while banking.
I am not saying that is what happens in your case, but for tight turns, that higher AOA creates more drag in the plane.
The sound variation may be like during a vertical climb, where the rpm's slow down, trying to find the regime for higher torque of the engine.
As stated above, it is more noticeable for props with high pitch.
