Default Engine compression

Hi
how long takes the engine to get a good compression?

i made a runin to my DM engine when it was in the box it has very good compression with a plug.

the engine finished 4 tanks of gas 550cc each one,+ 4% mineral oil the engine worked pefect and was cold to tuch safely on crankcase and cylinder head.
i think it is ready for test flyat normal use ,not 3D until 10 more litter 2.5 gallons will be burned in it.

If it started the compression was good enough to run. If you want to wait for te engine to reach peak compression you have another 15 gallons of gas or so to go. The engine was ready to fly one it was determined it ran and had been tuned. Wiat to fly 3d for a few tanks of gas, but aside from that, go play.

It really depends on the quality and material of the rings and cylinder. I have had engines seat the rings very fast (few tanks) while other lower quality engines with extremely hard rings seem to take forever..............

Get aFrank Bowman custompiston ring....they are made to seal better & run-in fast. Everyone that has tried them ...loves the better compression & better all around running of the engine. His email is [email protected] 1-505-327-0696. Best Regards, Capt,n
