Default Best way to mount 30cc engine

Hi,
What do you think is better way to secure the engine ?

1) 50 mm engine aluminum standoff with bolts from both sides ( from the engine side NC8 short bolts of 12mm and from the firewall side NC8 long bolts of 35mm )
2) long NC8 ( 70mm length ) through the 50mm standoff with nuts on the firewall

Thanks

I like #2 as well - with T nuts installed in the firewall. Getting a wrench or whatever on a bolt on the back side of a firewall can be a royal pain in many planes.

#2, no blind nuts. Use fender washers and lock nuts with Locktite. Nuts aren't required to be inside the firewall, they can also be at the front of an engine. Personal choice, application requirements, and usable space determine what goes where.

The fender washers have no barbs to bend over. The fender washers spread force loading over a wider area of the firewall. 1 long bolt has fewer fasteners on the other end to worry about. Easier to set in place and align.

if i will use option # 2 i will need to drill through the standoff to remove the threading beacuse the long screw i have are M4 while the thread is NC8 which is difficult to get in my area.

is that still better then option # 1 ?

i have lock nuts with the blue material inside ( i don't know the exact name ) which make it difficult to be opened by vibrations.

Thanks
