Are you saying they are new caps that have not been installed or the old ones that were taken off.
RCexl ignition caps will work, Not that hard to put them on.

RE: DA-100 Ignition Hardware Problem.
If they are the red and black Anderson/Sermos connectors the metal pins slide into the outer housings and self lock in place. They are difficult to get in if they are going in the right side up. There's a small ledge at the front of the connector the rounded part of the metal pin lays over to make the lock. If you can pull the wire back out of the housing without lifting the front of the pin with a tool they are in the wrong side up or not in far enough.

send the ignition back to DA they know what to do

While guys do their own on occasion, messing around with those connections is not for the uninitiated and DA can test the thing for you while it's there. In fact, I'd be concerned about why they're removed? If you're familiar with gassers or DA specifically then it might not be an issue if you've inspected the engine and it meets your expectations, but a trip to DA for the whole thing might be in order. Maybe that thought is just me being cautious since I wouldn't buy a used gas engine from someone I didn't know....

Get some new caps from Jody, Wrongway, or Milton...Jody has a thread here somewhere showing how to put the caps on, it's easy...The old ones might have some issues with the silicone inner parts and you won't have the special heat shrink that comes with the new ones...
