DLE 30 won't run after 2 flights HELP!
I've got a brand new DLE-30 installed in my Edge 540. I ran two tanks of gas through it, and it ran fine, adjusting the high and low needles during the second run.
I got two flights out of it, a little burbling at transition from idle to high throttle, but now it won't run. Sometimes it will pop when choked at max throttle, and make a
couple of pops with choke off (at low throttle). Ten percent of the time it runs for 20-30 seconds then quits. 3/4 of the time, I don't even get a pop, either during
choking or after choking. Its almost like it has problems with BOTH fuel supply AND spark.
I'm using the stock plug, and have ordered the NGK CM-6, to give it a try. But why won't it apparently pull fuel? Especially after having run just fine for 3-4 tanks
of gas.

I wouldn't worry much about the fuel supply; very likely your problem will be completely resolved once you replace the Spark Plug. What you are experiencng is very common when the stock plugs are used.

I just searched on Amazon.com, and found a place called Summerland Auto Sports
They had the plugs for $7.37 each, and only $1.78 shipping.

BTW, here's the plane the engine is on....Aeroworks 30 cc Edge 540. Very sweet flier

I concur replace the Spark Plug with an NGk CM6 and if that does not work then you are not getting adequate spark. Then in that case i would check your connection and wires to make sure there is no crack wires or fraid. Then if they look fine you could possibly have a faulty ignition.

Hey folks, I just installed the new NGK CM-6, and it worked like a charm.
Choked after just 3 flips, started with choke off in another 3 flips.
With the new plug, I needed to reduce the idle needle setting nearly
1/2 turn, to just over 1 full turn (max rpm). the high speed idle
was perfect at 1-5/8. Everything smooth with no stumbles.
Too bad our field is soggy from all the rain the past couple of days,
cuz I'm dying to fly it again.

I can't speak from experience on the problem of the DLE plug, but after reading many posts like this one, I bought an NGK CM-6 plug before my first flight.
I wanted to say this, because you don't need to order one. They DO sell them at auto stores. I found one on the second place I checked. I believe it was O'Reilly. They had it on the computer and when the guy brought it out he had no idea they stocked those things. He was amazed at such a small box and asked to look at it. He just couldn't believe they made plugs that small.
So whether they know it or not, they do stock the plugs you need.

OS produces a CM spark plug that seems to fit the DLE; Is that one good? Tower sells it...

That plane is awesome. I got one of the first production ones since I live right around the corner. If you go to aeroworks site and you go to the 30cc Edge, you will see my plane in the flight video. It is not a build, but rather an assembly. The biggest problem is once you get an Aeroworks plane you will not want another plane by any other company. They will spoil you rotten. Rocco is the owner and is awesome to deal with. Buy one you wont regret it. There is a good build thread in the aeroworks support forum under 30cc Edge.
