Ignition battery choice CRRC 26 engine
Hello all.
Iam new to gas, only have run nitro. I am looking to switch over.
Ibought a CMP P-40 140 size. Already built, never flown.
It has a new CRRC 26 in it. What battery should i buy for the ignition?
Icontacted CRRC, they said 4.8 - 6 volt is okay, but they didnt give me an answer on the Milli amps.
Iwould like to fly for awhile without having to worry about recharging?
Iwill take any suggestions on receiver pack batteries as well- for a war bird like this.
Thanks

4.8 2000 mAh pack should give you about 4 HOURS of flight time. If you run a 6V pack, your flight time will be a little shorter. The more volts you put to the ignition, the more mAh it will draw from your pack. So more is not better.

I use a 800mah ni-cad, it's good for 4~5 flights of about 12 minutes. Don't use junk batteries, if it's not good enough for your radio, it's not good enough for your ignition.
