Default Stihl HP Ultra-Must be good stuff.......

I know there have been alot of good reports about Stihl HP Ultra on here and other forums. Stihl must feel the same way. Right now they offer a 2 year warranty on their trimmers, but if you buy a six pack of Ultra, they up the warranty to 4 years! Kind of a no brainer, right? Not sure if the warranty extension is for all their equipment or just the trimmers. Could use a new chainsaw.

And they can tell what kind of oil you have been using, so using up the six pack then going back to cheap oil won't work.
Anyway, as little as I use my trimmer it would take me 4 years to use a six pack of any oil.

True, but it sure makes it easy to only need one can of gas to handle the yard equipment and your airplane stuff.

I'm still kind of out of luck on that one. My ZDZ's need 40:1 for the rotary valve.

OK, not sure if this helps any, but I run the HP Ultra at 40:1 and used to run it at 32:1 in my DL's and MVVS 26 to help with the bearings. (I usually use the same fuel in all of my 2 stroke equipment whether yard or aircraft, makes it easier to keep up with) I can't see any ill effects from the richer ratio other than to my wallet. I've been switching back and forth between Stihl and Redline when the Stihl gets hard to get. I really can't see any difference the way I run my stuff.

Unless you run hot and lean you won't. There's no reason yard equipment can't be run at 40-1. I run all mine at 50-1 So mixing at 40-1 to make the ZDZ happy is a non isssue. One can does it all.

I didn't know if Stihl would throw a fit if it was mixed at 40 to 1. I'm all for more oil.

I doubt they would mind. Just like you car doesn't mind if you change oil more frequently than the factory suggested periods. They do last longer that way.
