Why not jus get a prop adapter Vally view has them. http://www.valleyviewrc.com/estore/d...er-dle-30.html

Yes, A good idea - first I need to cut shaft off with my dremel cut off wheel. Then remove the bolt on the end of the crank. The remove another i/8th of an inch off that bolt and replace it .
It does not look that easy. One also needs to hold the piston in a fix position while this is done . Doable . But at this point I am not sure I can do all of that successfully.
Do you have any ideas?
