RCG is a re-branded RCGF. According to RCGF they make engines of various quality levels. So which quality level would you be getting?
You might want to perform a search and do some extensive reading about other's experiences with RCGF. If all everything to is about the money, buy it. If you want to have an engine that works, and works the way you need it to.......

RE: DLE What?!?!
Ok; get it II... your advice is to get the "real" DLE. Price is still good and seems to be a good one. What do you think about the MOKI 180 Gas?

RE: DLE What?!?!
The Moki 1.8 in gas is ok, but why would you want to use an engine requiring that much oil? There are some very good gas engines out there that can be purchased fairly cheap. I won't delve into my opinions about being too cost conscious but I will say you get what you pay for.
With most of the gas engines the quality and reliability goes up with the price. With DLE, which is the best in Chinese engines, the level of customer support and service increases with the price.
With some of the other Chinese engines you would have to pay me to use them and provide a pre-paid, guaranteed service program from a local, reputable engine service repair facility. Ther would also have to be a plane free replacement program in place for the assured engine failures that occurrd shortly after lift off.

DLE no longer supplies engines to wholesalers..
Last price I got from a wholesaler was $166.00....I tried to order some and was told DLE no longer sells to wholesalers...

RE: DLE What?!?!
At this point I've to ask: HOW GOOD CAN BE THE DLE-30? IS THE TOWER HOBBIES ONE THE REAL DLE-30????
I don't want to burn my money; I'm about to go gas and to be sincere some opinions are making me think... Should I buy an OS 155 or an OS 200 4s Glow?

The DLE engines have proven themselves to be as good and reliable as most out there. You will always find people who will have their favorite and try to convince you otherwise, but do your research and purchase from a reputable dealer, like Tower or Valley View RC. If you want good support with setup and tuning issues then I reccomend you go with Valley View. Just my opinion.

RE: DLE What?!?!
I had been discussing RCG/RCGF, not DLE.[:@] Valley View, Tower, and TBM all sell the same DLE, and are not restricted from factory direct purchasing.
The difference in pricing between them comes down to service, both customer and product. Which one do you think is going to take the best care of you and your engine if it ever needs service? Make you decision from there.
How good can the DLE 30 be? Better to ask how good you are because the engine, any engine, will never be any better than the person using it. If you are great the DLE 30 will be great. If you understand engines you'll never have a problem with the DLE 30. If you're a baffoon then it would not matter what you had because you'd screw it up regardless of quality level. There are a great many points in between.

MOKI 1.8 = 3.9 hp @ 11,000 rpm /25:1
DLE 30 = 3.7 hp @ 8,500 rpm /30:1
DLE 30 = 3.7 hp @ 8,500 rpm /30:1

Now, how many people only get 8,500 RPM from their DLE 30?
