RCG 26CC gas engine from HOBBY KING
Hello,
the subject said engine is my very 1st gas engine to use
so when i received it i found that the chock gate is moving free, without any spring or anything to control the gate movement
as i understand that chock valve used for pulling some fuel to the carb while priming up then close it again “if needed”
but from what i can see here that this gate with its arm can be moved very easy because of engine vibration
i didn't tested it yet, but its a concern i have and need to know if its normal or not<o></o><o></o>

If a choke falls closed with little effort you'll need to make something that will hold a rod or lever to keep the choke plate in the desired position. Something similar to a basic gate latch but in miniature. Usually just a small piewce of lite ply with an "L" shaped slot will do. The rod would of course need a small ball of solder on it to prevent sliding through the slot. Lift and push or pull and it clears the slot for use.
It's not difficult. The detent on a carb's choke can be fairly easily damaged from side impact, rendering the stop inoperative. Some carbs don't have a detent on the choke since they had a spring/locking lever linkage system on OEM equipment. If that was overlooked during the selection process it can make things a little aggravating for the user.

RE: RCG 26CC gas engine from HOBBY KING
i found the problem
there is a little metal ball moving on a spring that guide the choke moving rod placed inside the carb itself (i can't explain how it looks like but i will get a pictures for it)
this metal ball stacked inside the carb and not moving up to lock the choke rod
i will try to spray DW40 and heat it a little bit hopping that will make this spring bush that ball little up to lock it
