Garolite (G-10) Epoxy board substitute??
Has anyone found a good, (and cheap) substitute for G-10 epoxy board? I need to make several manifolds for Poulans and Stihls, and McMaster Carr wants 65 bucks for a 12" x 12" piece! Too expensive for this poor boy....

I use phenolic, i have plenty of it in 1/2" and 3/4".
you have to be careful with it, it is made in layers and if you put to much stress on the layers it will crack.
I can ship you a 5" x 8" peace in a flat rate box for about $6.00

I appreciate the offer, but I am not sure it would work. I want to drill holes for set screws sideways into the material for mounting the homemade adapter to the aluminum carb intake throat as seen on many of the Poulan and Stihl engines. Do you think the laminated phenolic would support this?
