Default Walbro HDA-48D

I have a second hand Zenoah G45 that I picked up but need to replace the carburettor on.
HDA-48d are not easy to come by around here and cost both an arm and a leg (if you can find one)

Is there a suggested alternative or does anyone know a good source for the 48d?

The HDA48 comes on the 62, try a WT76A from a 3.2 Sachs..Will work just fine..
The pulse port in the carb body will be in a different place, Dremel a channel to where it needs to be...

Why not just rebuild it Ari? If the throttle plate is still tight everything else can be had in a rebuild kit. Otherwise drop Antique a note. He'll have at least 1 floating around.

Thanks guys,

Pat: the reason I'm after a repacement, the throttle shaft has been damaged by the previous owner by apparent attempts to fix a longer throttle arm to it.
I might be able to get it good though

The local Stihl shop carries the most common rebuild kits. I might see if they can get the right kit for me
Alternately, I might try to see if I can find a WT76A somewhere.

I was at the chainsaw shop about a month ago rumaging through his junk carb box. Almost every carb there was a HDA series Walbro.

Jim, you guys over there are lucky where because of the population, these shops tend to be bigger and have higher volume go through.
I live in a regional town with relatively small population but on the flipside, we enjoy the quieter life and less of what invariably comes with city life.

You guys down-under are WHAT?
Ari, you do have chainsaws to clear out all those funny trees don't you? Throttle shafts of many carbs are interchangable if the carb main bore is the same. Save them in your scrap box. They come in handy all the time.

Just a couple hrs ago two teen aged girls escaped from a juvenile detention facility down below my house and stole a car. They hit a 13,500 volt power pole between there and my house and laid it across the 4 lane highway. They escaped on foot. Deputy sheriffs have been roaming all around here this afternoon.

Which would you rather have? Peace and quite or population?

I don't even think we have a 4-lane highway around here

Nah, we have European tourists come and do that when they rustle through the bush on their "nature trips"

Seriously, I'm going to pay a visit to the local Stihl place but Ralph has kindly offered to send me some parts

You still can see the Stihl place and get some scrap stuff.

BTW, you do have the longest North-South route of the world down there.
