Default Choke extension knob for DLE-20

Somewhere I have seen a photo of a DLE-20 with a nice looking choke extension knob. Appears to attach to the choke arm and extends far enough so you can just twist it to open or close the choke.

Anyone know where I might find one?

Thanks

Gary

Every choke control is individually made by the engine owner and a custom item. You''ll have to be creative. Most find a means to affix a ball link or other connecting device at the choke end and use wire or rod. For mine I just let the rod hang out of the bottom or side of the cowl and work by hand.

First off, here's the 2 more popular msg threads on the DLE20cc gas engine;

NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9863953/tm.htm

-and-

What Aircraft are you installing your DLE20
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10197884/tm.htm

In each, at the top of each page, you'll see a link to most posted photos,
titled "GALLERY". Click on it, and give it time to load.

At the top of those will be min-sized photos that you can scroll through.
Click once on a photo & it'll appear larger in the middle. Below that on left
it'll have a link to the message with the photo it was posted in.

You should find a couple dozen photos of various custom made choke linkage setups.

Like the "Search" function, the "GALLERY" isn't used much, but both are great forum resources.

Boy do I feel stupid/silly. Do you know that I have been an active member of this forum for 8 years and never noticed that "gallery" feature at the top of the thread page???

LOL!!!

Fret not though, some of the highest posting members, not to mention staff,
aren't aware of some of the forum functions on RCU.

Did ya know, depending on how many postings per page in any thread,
that there's up to 15 "Search" function buttons listed per full page?

I was looking through either a Chief's or Don's Hobby Shop catalog today and saw a choke rod with a little knob on the end in a package. Nothing that could be twisted to open though.

I doubt those are what he meant, his reply didn't indicate such.

Here's 2 USA dealers for such throttle/choke ARM extensions;

Thanks for all the help but what I saw was an extension that attached to the choke arm and extended straight out on the centerline of the choke shaft and is just twisted to open or close the choke. Looks like I will probably use the linkage type that is mounted toward the front of the engine and extends to the choke arm.

Gary,

Browse the GALLERY" on the two DLE20 links I posted.
There's only 2 that used bellcrank styles, but there's also a bunch of others as well.
