Steve,
That's the most often used line when visiting a lawyer!
Gotta remember that one, it's good!
.
Very true!

You're onto me - wondered how long it would take for it to get figured out

Least ya didn't use the ''I know a buddy....'' line!

Taught me to add a simple item to my checklist
''LIVEPE''
''Look In Vehicle Ensure Planes Exist''

A friend of mine once commented to me .... ''Do you remember when we use to complain about those FOG's at the field all the time? Now we are those FOG's!''
A truer statement has rarely been made! We all become a FOG if we stay with the hobby long enough.

I always forget my tools. I take them out of the flight box to take to the building board and never return them. I cant complain too much if there are others at the field with the tools I need, it makes my flight box lighter. I had to use the end of a ballpoint pin to tune my low end on the engine a couple weeks ago. I never forget my roll of packing tape though as its almost better than monokote

Read this thread this morning, got a good little chuckle out of it and a "I can relate to that" moment....you know the drill. Shut this contraption down and promptly left for the field with a trailer load of flying goodies, got all set up to crank up my trusty Saito/Mojo...........no starter, no glow plug battery, no nuthin. Sitting at home on charge 20 miles away!
I hadn't done that for the longest time!
I boo hoo'd to the wife and she brought it out to me. I think I'll keep her!

Well at least at the Mt. Rainier field all the old timers have the sense to show up on tuesdays when the young bucks are at work. We discuss which medicare supplemental plan is the cheapest and sometimes someone will actually fly the whole length of the field IVNERTED. lol

I just started flying gas this year and I loaded up all the usual stuff and then walked by the gas can and left it there, since I had my flight box with the glow fuel onboard. [>:]Good thing I only live 8 mi from the field
I've left my Tx at the field and had to go back at night and retrieve.[&:] I try to make sure I put my equipment in the same place in the van and then I can tell quickly if I am missing anything, and then outloud I run off the essentials, plane, wing, fuel, flightbox, Tx. all the rest I can beg borrow or find in our well equipped shed at the field. That one about leaving the whole van was too funny
