DLE 20 trouble shooting not starting
I have a DLE 20 engine with about 6 flights on it. Previous plane damaged and moving engine to new plane. The engine ran fine last week on stand but after installing in new plane the engine will not start. Does not pop when turning with choke closed. the engine is pulling gas and using NGK CM-6 plug.
Good voltage (5.7v) up to electronic ignition. Taking plug out and holding to engine head I cannot see any spark when turning prop. The compression is good.
I am beginning to suspect bad electronic ignition.
What are some trouble shooting steps to deternine what the problem is?
If electronic ignition what then?
Thanks.

Go here for a troubleshooting guide for the igniiton; http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=10187833
You say the old plane was damaged, did it hit the spark plug cap? look into the cap, turn ignition on and turn the engine over. If it looks like the picture that's your problem, need a new spark plug cap.

I don't think the plug cap hit the ground. The engine was upright. No damage to prop of any dirt to front of engine. The engine ran fine last week on stand before moving to new plane.
I thought it was not good to turn prop with ignition on and plug not connected to engine? I thought that would damage the electronic ignition?
I don't want to buy new ignition if not necessary.
