Vibration mounts or not?
Sorry if this is a repeat post i am struggling with navigating the site and cannot see if my first attempt posted
i bought my first gas engine, a DLE 30. Preparing to mount in a 4*120. The DLE manual calls for a two hour break in at 4000 rpm. It also says it should be mounted on shock absorbers or the engine could be seriously damaged by vibration.
I see photos of lots of setups with the standoffs mounted hard to the fire wall......are vibration isolators needed only for the break in? Are they needed at all? If they are needed, what do I use?
I am an intermediate flyer and I am pretty experienced in glow. Any help you can give me on this and any "watch outs" relating to differences in a gas vs glow setup are appreciated.
Thanks.
