Hello to all,
I just purchased a BME 2.8 twin and have a question about the ignition. There is a pot on the ignition board that I have no idea what it's for. The ignition is eched 12-30-96. Any Ideas?
I've attached an image of the unit.
Any other info. anyone has on the engine would be appreciated.

That ignition is problematic, do your self a favor and get an RC EXL ignition before it fails, and it will...
Don't ever try to check it without a spark plug in the lead, instant failure..
The pot is to change the timing when it's running...
It was called Pro Spark....Some were sold by Jerry Nelson products...It has electronic advance...4.8 volts.,..
