Hey Guys,
Wanted to get some thoughts on the two engines. I know some of the DLE's are not lasting as long as they should. I wanted to see if SE was any better?
Thanks,
Mike

Most all the parts for both engines are made by the same manufacture.
So six of one and a half dozen of the other.
The DLE has the new cylinder type and the DLA have the old style cylinders.

I really wouldn't want to get into a discussion about which brand is better, which one lasts longer, atc. But I do have to straighten the facts. DLE and SE are made by completely different companies, and even though some parts are interchangeable, they are not related. SE has been in the market as such for only a little bit over a year, and even though we have extensively tested and run our engines and we can say they would last a very long time, we cannot say -because we have not tested so extensively the DLE- that SE will outlast or not DLE.
Of course we tested the engfines made by the company that manufactures ours, and we found them to be of great quality, or we wouldn't have had them make SE.
We firmly believe DLE is a fine product, and we have nothing but respect for the brand, and we believe our product -SE- is of excellent quality and offer a great alternative to what is out there in terms of quality, price, service and reliability.
We have engines run in excess of 600 hours, but we haven't tested DLE enough to say they will not last as long.
Thank you for your interest, and should you have further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ontact us.

For your own comparison, search this forum for DLE for information about those and DLA for info on the SE brand.
SE engines are DLA engines, possibly with some mods, much the same as when RCGF was marketed as Aerovate some couple of years back
Asking about direct comparison between two similar Chinese engines is a magnet for the brand affinados and the dealers who carry those brands. You will get best and most unbiased information by doing your own research

Where did you get your 100cc eng.. I am looking forward to a Flight report, as I have a CAP that would love to have a 100cc +/- twin installed in it..
