Can ya'll believe that they will not sell DLE stickers like the one I have on my cowl? They replied to me email and said that the only way to get one of those stickers is to buy and engine. They ONLY come with an engine.

Ridiculous.

A stupid post, I know. But I dont see why they wouldnt want to sell their stickers. Its just more advertisement for them......

Bad Brad Graphics could easily duplicate most any eng mfg graphic you'd want.....

thanks guys, I had already found the same site metallica posted. And I also like the graphics you posted up. Ill contact them to see if the can make one for the DLE20.

I will get some of their DLE30 decals for my next plane.

The sticker that comes with the engine is just a nice clean decal...

It's a great thread you picked out, as a matter of fact, I always wanted to ask one thing and your thread helping me to post that question. Question was where to get DLE's decal.

I purchased a DLE20 very recently, installed and I yet to crank up the motor, it's installed and still brand new since no oil, or gas touched it, so still Virgin lol The box I had gotten from my LHS it was opened inside the shelf and motor was on display inside the shelf again. I never got any decal in the box with the brand new DLE20 engine. Do I have to demand my LHS about the decal and they should provide me one?

Yeah I don't get these corporations at all. Like Textron "Bell and Cessna" sueing the model companies to stop makeing models of their aircraft. As if they are losing money from full size sells to the models and as if the models don’t represent free advertisement to a particularly affluent section of the US population.

I know a company that will send ya some decals. They like their decals stuck everywhere!

You should put some on your plane then mail DLE an 8X10 photo and a letter stating that there was supposed to be a DLE decal on this model but you won't send me a set of free decals so I found a company that would. Hey free advertising for them!

Apparently I found out from them that they WILL in fact sell me a sticker. But they are 319 bucks (EACH, not a pair!). But I get a free DLE30. But If the engine is lost or broken, Id have to buy a new sticker to get another engine....[img]../../punymce/plugins/emoticons/img/trans.gif[/img]

ya know what would really burn them good is to ask around to the high end american companies that I wish I could afford to support like syssa and DA to see if they would like to give out free advertisement and throw their stickers on my plane. So when anyone asks if im running a syssa or a DA motor, Ill say, "no. but i wish i could because they are better engines...you should buy one."

I went to my LHS, they told me that DLE stickers do not come with the box anymore, I guess DLE is saving big whopping money by not including the sticker/decal in the box. That sux!

I just bought a DLE from TH and stickers came in the box with mine. I wonder if the LHS is shooting bull?

I bought a DLE 20 from Tower Hobbies and the the box was sealed from DLE. The sticker in the box came from DLE.

Wow! I have a sticker with my DLE20. I didn't realize what a treasure I have. I'll probably preserve it as an heirloom.

I wouldnt make a big deal out of it, but i would like to see their reaction if you told them to open a box infront of you... is that the only hobby shop in town... it would sting a little to be lied to by a hobby shop over a petty item like a decal.... if they would lie about that, imagine what else they do

agreed. I got my DLE20 not long ago and it had a sticker. Ill let you know what happens if i order my DLE30 soon. im betting it will have one. Especially since the email i got back said that they are only available when you buy an engine....
