RE: mvvs 1.50
Picture?
The 1.50 is a glow engine with angled exhaust port. It also was available with a glow butterfly valve carb.
When MVVS introduced the 1.60 gas engine, the 1.50 was discontinued, and the gas version was converted to the 1.60 glow engine. This was available both with standard glow carb and with Walbro carb.

I tried to run one years ago, 1999 or so?? Stock, it would never make any power at all. I put a larger Walbro carb on it an it would turn up the proper RPM, but would not idle properly. I never did try a standard glow carb, as I got rid of it since I wanted the pumped walbro for obvious reasons.

This is not the manufacturer support forum. This is the general gas engine forum.

Hi!
Ran one of those engines ten or so years ago but I used the large MVVS glow carb with 10mm intake! Silencer was the small steel, MVVS muffler.
Had that engine in a SIG CAP 231 with a span of 185cm. Weight was around 5kg. Best prop in that model was a 18x6.
I used a 16oz tank.
Fuel used was 5% nitro and 15% Motul "Micro" all synthetic oil and I used an Enya 3 glow plug.
Engine run perfekt and put out lots of power.Hovering power was no problem as it hovered at half throttle ( though I could not manage howering at that time[])
I was amazed that the small steel silencer (Lawn mover style) did not steal more power than it did. Sound was quiter than a four-stroke and throttling was instant! Did never quit once during the years I had it! Sold the plane due to it was no good at hovering (Too short fuselage) after a couple of years!

The black steel side muffler was quite open at the seams, so power loss was limited.
We have one running at our field using butterfly carb, canister, and fuel pump. Awesome engine.
