does anyone out there have one of these engines...Aircraft International Series 150 TOC...????are you having problems w/ the engine what so ever????i have about 3 gallons through it and still cannot get it to run trouble free...i fly the plane, just IMAC flying, and about 10 minutes into the flight i lose throttle response...meaning i cannot transition from 1/4 throttle to midrange or full throttle...the engine starts to make a hollow pinging sound(i am running cannisters),and the throttle is basically useless...i land, and check the temp on the engine and it is fine.i have all the proper baffling to cool the engine and to suck the hot air out of the cowling and tunnel for the can's.i am running a little on the rich side,i tried playing w/ the needles and same response.i tried a little more oil content to see if this would remedy the problem...no such luck.......is it possible the Tilliston Carb is getting hot and the diafram is sticking???......IF ANYBODY IS HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEM OR ANY PROBLEM W/ THIS ENGINE....PLEASE LET ME KNOW....Thanks,Joe

Not to be a wise ***** but is the tank vented? and clear.
I ran mine at home and after a while had a similiar problem
I found the tank sucked in, I left the vent/filler plug in.
Should have removed it for running.

Thanks guys for the quick response,Tony...you know i have noticed that my tank did appear to be sucked in a little...i have never had that happen to me before,i kind of just shrugged it off...but my vent line is clear..maybe a little long, but is clear...Rich...i am going to pull off the cowling sometime this week and check all the bolts for any loosness and leaks,a friend of mine said his 200 had leaks around the case to cylinders, not to mention a couple of cranks shearing...got rid of the engine and went w/ DA and a 40% plane.See...another friend of mine is having the same problems...same engine, from what i am hearing this is not uncommon w/ the new series AI is putting out...Anybody else have some ideas???i have also noticed that after landing i have hardly any oil residue...if none at all...i am mixing at AI recomendations and using Lawn Boy oil...i have tried 2.56 to 1 and also 3.0 to 1....still with hardly any oil residue..What do think?

Mike, I think he means 3 ounces per gallon which is about 42 to 1. The 2.56 comes out at 50 to 1. But you're right, he needs to increase the amount to 4 ounces to the gallon.

Also try this. the vent hole on the carb may be in the slip stream. Atach a nipple to it and run a line inside the plane. Air pressure on the vent hole can change the way the carb pulls fuel
