Default DA170 & DA100 - same ignition module???

Quick question: I have a DA170 which started to act up as follows: at idle the engine will suddenly drop a cylinder and continue to run (weakly) on one cylinder. As I advance the throttle the engine will stumble along for a second or two and then suddenly "catch" with both cylinders and run strong to full throttle. Back down to idle and within 10 seconds or so it is back on one cylinder. I put in new sparkplugs (no improvement) I am thinking that the module has cashed it in.

Question 1: can I swap in a DA100 ignition module to test? Is it the same as the 170 module?
Question 2: is there anything else I should be looking for? The ignition leads and boots seem perfectly fine.

Thanks

All DA twin engines use the same ignition.
