Was looking at these Vess props on the DA site. There is no pitch given, but only a letter designation. A , B , etc.. My guess would be these have different pitches like a 16x8-10 that have seen before. That's a guess though, what is the deal with these, and how do you know which one to buy?
Thanks, david

It is quite a simple system.
Yes they do have a varying pitch but to use the designations, it is basically this.
a "B" Pitch is the most common pitch used on that diameter prop. The "A" is finer and the "C" is more coarse.
So as w8ye mentioned.
in a 22" a "22/8" is the most common so a 22 "B" equates to a 22/8. a 22 "A" equates to a 22/6 and a 22 "C" equates to a 22/10.
However on a 28" prop, the "B" would be a 28/10 equivalent etc.
These figures are not exactly that simple as Robert (Vess) takes engine load and prop performance into account when he designates them.

I have a Vess 22 "B" and it is a 10" pitch everywhere I've measured it. So I use it on my G-62
A guy at the field has a BME 50 and he uses a Vess 22 "A" and it flys like it has a 8" pitch but I've never measured it. The engine even turns the same rpm it did with a Zoar 22 X 8.
