I killed my Sullivan Dynatron today. It was wimpy, torque wise, at 12v with deep cycle battery. At 24V it had the guts but spun too fast. It seems to me the the motor needs more turns of wire in the windings. Anyone make a starter that is torque-ier and spins slower on 12v? I see no reason for the starter to go faster than 2000 rpm. I am starting engines up to 65cc. I am not interested in spending a mint.

These little guys do more than they say when powered by a 4s or 5s Lipo. Low RPM too! I love geared starters and recommend them.

I've got a 3:1 Pacific Aeromodel starter that appears very similar to the one above that handles my Zenoah 26cc gas engine nicely but not my 34cc Fuji. ..
That's with two 7.2v 1800 mAh NiMH packs. Love the size of it.

I'd lean towards the Megatron for a 62/65cc size.

The manufacturer's picture of the Megatron seems to show a 1/4" drive shaft. That is what broke on the Dynatron. The shaft snapped off at the threads. Anyone else have this issue?

You can get a replacement motor part for your Dynatron from Advantage Hobby at a reasonable price of $37.59 and free shipping if you buy $50 worth.

I have three Dynatrons and one is pretty old I never had any throuble with the motors. I lost the cup on the old one a few years ago.
