Who is doing repairs? NGK BPMR6F is the plug type.

You can get thread inserts from the auto parts.

Remove the cylinder from the engine for the repair so you can clean the metal chips out.

You can also get Ralph Cunningham (rcignition) (Antique) to do the repairs

Heli coil or you can google for a 18mm to 14mm plug adpater.

Some do and some don't, Might be how they are installed.

Personally I would use one of these.

Looks like I would have to drill and tap the stripped hole to 18mm. Is that correct Milton?

Yes, but then you have a solid adapter not just a coil of wire.

That's way I'm going to roll Milton. Do you prefer that brand in the link you posted? Wondering if it's designed for a tapered seat plug.
